New Year's and our 3rd Anniversary...
We made Thai Massaman curry on New Year's eve...for just the two of us. And we made it from scratch...down to the Thai curry paste. it was so so so good.

There I am serving it up...i think i look atrocious in this shot, but it's a great illustration of exactly how much i resemble a hippopotamus right now.
This was all liam's idea...isn't he cute?

On our anniversary, Suzhawk invited us to spend the night at their apartment downtown so we could enjoy the city and go to a fancy dinner.

Here i am ready to go to dinner...we went to La Colonial on Rush Street in downtown Chicago. It's a Vietnamese/French fusion place that captures the spirit of 1920s Vietnam in decor and menu...well, at least they try to. ;)

We had a great time, despite, or rather, in spite of the horrible service (we think they had their like, 12th string staff on tonight...)

Yep, definitely preggers.

Liam is actually stone-cold sober here...but he doesn't look it, does he?
And then he got hungry....

And passed out.

 

Okay, not really. But when we downloaded these shots, we couldn't help but have some fun.

 

After dinner, we went back to Suzhawk's and cuddled the kitties. I put on suzy's black silk robe, and we danced in their living room to some of the beautiful music that ray put on my computer. Then we went to sleep in their beautiful and so comfortable bed. The next day, we got up and threw the sheets in the wash, went to Argo tea for quiche and OJ, then got our Starbucks before returning to the apartment and throwing the sheets in the dryer. It was perfect in every way.
